3. Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump postponed his running mate announcement planned for today due to the mass casualty attack in France. Trump’s pick is reportedly Indiana Gov. Mike Pence. (New York Times)

4. The Republican National Convention gets underway in Cleveland next week, and many party insiders say they think there could be some trouble. (Politico)

5. The polls show a close race. But presumptive Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton is far ahead of Donald Trump when it comes to spending on campaign advertising. (AP)
