Walker making campaign stops in Minnesota next week

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is bringing his 2016 presidential campaign to Minnesota next week for a speech on health care and to attend a local fundraiser.

Walker will reveal his plan to repeal and replace Obamacare, during a speech Tuesday morning in Brooklyn Center, according to a campaign media advisory.

“Walker will discuss the disastrous effect this law has had on individuals, families, and businesses and will share his solutions for how to fix the broken health care system,” the advisory said.

He’ll deliver the speech at Cass Screw Machine Products.

Later that day, Walker will appear at a fundraiser in St. Paul for the Minnesota Jobs Coalition, a political organization that helps elect Republican candidates.

The organization’s president, Mark Drake, said in a news release that the group is honored to welcome Walker to the state.

“As Wisconsin's chief executive, he streamlined government and advanced reforms that have led to job creation, providing more opportunity and prosperity for all,” Drake said. “Gov. Walker has been a great governor and we are excited for his visit."

Walker announced last week that state House Speaker Kurt Daudt will chair his Minnesota campaign.
