The Daily Digest: Iran deal reached

Good morning! Want to know what's happening in politics this morning? Here are five stories to follow.

1. Nuclear deal with Iran.

In the wee hours, world powers and Iran agreed to curb Iran's nuclear program. In exchange, Iran will get billions in relief from international sanctions. The deal is historic. For years, relations between Iran and the United States have been icy to say the least. (AP via MPR News)

Earlier this year, Republicans in the Minnesota House proposed axing MNsure and pushing Minnesota on to the federal exchange. Now, Republicans are using some bad news about a new tech glitch to revive their argument. (MPR News)

3. And we may never stop hearing about Benghazi.

The most recent development involving Hillary Clinton's time as Secretary of State are two emails that the department apparently hasn't given to a special House investigative committee into what happened in Benghazi. They deal with how Clinton was preparing to talk about the event. (Politico)

4. Wage inequality.

Hillary Clinton gave a big speech Monday, focusing on economics and stagnant wages. National Public Radio looks at the facts behind the issue of why more people are seeing shrinking paychecks. (NPR)

5. Meanwhile, in Wisconsin...

Gov. Scott Walker signed the state's budget the same day he declared his run for president. He vetoed more than 100 items in the bill - not a surprising move for someone who plans to run on fiscal austerity. (The Wisconsin State Journal)
