But it wouldn't be politics without some requisite last-minute drama.

Things appeared to be going smoothly until the environment and agriculture funding bill failed in the Minnesota Senate.

Then, in a game of legislative ping pong, the Senate stripped the bill of some key provisions, passed it, and sent it back to the House, where the provisions were restored. (MPR News)
