Hillary Clinton to hold Minneapolis fundraiser

Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton will be in Minneapolis later this month for the first time since announcing her 2016 campaign for the White House.

She will hold a fundraiser in Minneapolis on June 22 for her "50 state campaign."

The price of admission is $2,700, the maximum an individual can give to a presidential candidate before there's a nominee.

An email from the event hosts says that giving early is important.

"Every dollar invested now in building both infrastructure and capacity will yield measurably higher dividends per vote yields over the course of the campaign than late state dollars," the email reads.

The event will be hosted by Lou and Carol Frillman at the home of Ellen Goldberg Luger. Lou Frillman is president of real estate advising company Marquette Advisors. And Luger is married to Andy Luger, United States Attorney for the District of Minnesota.

Another Democratic candidate, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders gave a speech in Minnesota last Sunday.

Former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley and former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee are also competing for the Democratic nomination.
