DFL leaders of the Minnesota House are heading out on the road for a series of events to promote their economic development and bonding proposals.
The House DFL Jobs Tour began Friday in St. Peter. House Speaker Paul Thissen and Capital Investment Committee Chair Alice Hausman have stops scheduled Saturday in St. Cloud and Duluth. Jobs and Economic Development Chair Tim Mahoney will be in Brainerd that day. House Majority Leader Erin Murphy has events with Mahoney and Hausman Sunday in Rochester and Albert Lea.
Earlier this week House Democrats released an $800 million package of public construction projects that they claim will result in up to 22,800 jobs. The full House is set to vote Monday on an omnibus jobs and economic development finance bill includes new money for expanding business incentives, youth workforce grants, three new trade offices in foreign markets and rebates for television and film production.
