Pawlenty urges MN delegates to unify, previews Romney speech

Speaking to the RNC's Minnesota delegation Thursday morning, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty urged delegates to rally behind Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney this fall.

Following his remarks, Pawlenty previewed Romney's much anticipated speech, scheduled for Thursday night.

"I think his basic premise is going to be; the county is in trouble, the economy is sputtering, hardworking Minnesotans and Americans are worried about their economic futures, and the jobs, and economic futures of their loved ones, and he wants to give them reassurance that he's got a better path and better way forward than Barack Obama," said Pawlenty.

Palwenty spoke at the RNC Wednesday night, delivering a string of sharp attacks against President Obama, accusing the Democrat of creating more excuses than jobs and vacationing too much.
