Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann is heading to South Carolina for a series of six bookstore visits Friday through Sunday according to her campaign. Bachmann will be signing copies of her book, Core of Conviction, instead of campaigning in Iowa where the first-in-the-nation caucuses will be held in a little more than one month. South Carolina is where the “first-in-the-south primary” will take place and it’s a state Bachmann has been targeting along side Iowa in her effort to win the GOP nomination to run against President Barack Obama next year. Republicans in South Caroline will weigh in on the nomination battle after their counterparts in Iowa and New Hampshire.
