New Gallup polling of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents finds former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann leading the pack of possible 2012 GOP presidential candidates in what Gallup calls "positive intensity."

Gallup measures a poll respondent's expression of a strongly favorable opinion about a candidate to come up with its positive intensity score. Huckabee came in at 25 percent. Bachmann had 20 percent, four points more than former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and six points more than former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty.

Of those polled 87 percent recognized Huckabee's name. Fifty-two percent recognized Bachmann. Forty-one percent recognized Pawlenty's name.
