Local canvassing boards will meet across the state to collect the vote totals in the 2010 election. Hennepin County's Canvassing Board will meet today.

The figures have to be presented to the Secretary of State's Office by Friday. The State Canvassing Board meets on 11/23 and will likely order a recount in the race for governor.

Democrat Mark Dayton appeared on MPR, TPT and WCCO over the weekend and said the next governor should be seated on January 3rd.

Meanwhile, Republican Tom Emmer was in Canada over the weekend to attend his son's hockey game.
