The candidates for governor will participate in a TPT/Minneapolis Foundation debate today.

The outside interest groups are getting heavily involved in the race for governor. The DFL leaning The Alliance for a Better Minnesota spent $2.8 million in ads criticizing Republican Tom Emmer.

The Republican Governors Association is also behind the group, Minnesota's Future. The RGA gave $400,000 to the group, which is running ads criticzing Mark Dayton.

Meanwhile, 3M and 16 other business gave to MN Forward since the August 10th Primary. 3M gave $100,000.
