DFL Rep. Jim Oberstar released his transportation funding package today. You can read about the plan here.
Several reports say Oberstar is pushing for a 57% increase in transportation spending over the previous bill. He’s pushing for the passage of a new plan this year but is meeting resistance from the White House. The Transportation Secretary would like to hold off on a new bill for 18 months.
