The McCain campaign says First Lady Laura Bush and Cindy McCain (John McCain’s wife) will address the GOP delegates at the end of the shortened convention. McCain’s campaign cut back on speeches, etc. because of Hurricane Gustav. McCain will also appear to ask the delegates (and others) to donate money to Gustav victims. No word Read more →
McCain campaign officials said in a conference call with reporters that they were optimistic that John McCain will accept the GOP nomination for president in person. They also said they will announce Tuesday’s convention schedule on Tuesday morning and that they’re confident that Gustav won’t bring a total halt to the convention.
