Gov. Pawlenty is in Arlington, VA this morning to hold a hearing on solutions to the home foreclosure issue. It's an initiative sponsored by the National Governors Association. The Wall Street Journal writes that a bill deferring home foreclosures for one year has put him in a tough spot. He has yet to take action on the bill.

The Met Council will vote today on a Central Corridor Route that is disagreeable to the U of M. The U will vote no. MPR, the Pi Press and the Star Tribune have stories.

Attorney General Lori Swanson dismisses a staffer after an investigation found no merit to the staffer's claims. Swanson asked the St. Thomas Law School Dean to conduct the investigation.
