Let’s take it outside!

DFL Sen. Steve Murphy had some interesting comments today when it came to the dispute with Gov. Pawlenty over the transportation policy bill. There was a bit of a kerfuffle over what Gov. Pawlenty was willing to support in the bill.

Murphy also seemed to challenge Pawlenty's spokesman Brian McClung to take the dispute outside after learning that McClung said Murphy was stretching the truth on the dispute. KARE has the story (UPDATE: here's the video):

"Mister McClung," Murphy remarked in an interview with KARE 11, "If you want to meet me out on the Capitol steps and we'll talk about your comments, I'm more than willing to be there."

Did he really want to fight McClung out on the Capitol steps?

"I just want to have a civil discussion with him because his comments are troubling at best," Murphy said, "When he calls my credibility into question. That's just not right."

Sheesh.

My spidey senses say things are getting a little bit stressful with two weeks to go until the constitutional deadline to adjourn.
