A spokesman for U.S. Senator Norm Coleman says Coleman's father died this morning. The spokesman says Norm Coleman senior was battling cancer. The spokesman says Senator Coleman will not be attending Senate proceedings today and will be taking this time to be with his family and loved ones. Norm Coleman Senior was a World War II veteran who raised eight children in Brooklyn.
